Track construction and track welding

The permanent way and the overhead lines form the backbone of the tram system. The maintenance and repair of tram lines is a standard product in IFTEC´s range.

From the background of our extensice maintenance responsibilities for the LVB track network we have built up a comprehensive specialist knowledge in the area of track superstructure welding. The welding equipment of IFTEC meets the modern technological requirements. The qualifications of our specialist staff for track superstructure welding are continually updated and expanded. This process is coordinated by IFTEC´s track welding engineer who is track welding supervisor and also by several track welding specialists.

IFTEC is certified by the Welding, Training and Research Institute SLV, Hannover as a welding firm in accordance with RiLi 826.1020 DB AG and a welding workshop in accordance with RiLi 826.1021 DB AG.
